Gone Girl

After all the craziness surrounding graduation settled down, I finally found some time to do something I haven't had time to do in a while: read for fun.

I had wanted to read Gone Girl, a novel by Gillian Flynn, for quite some time now, but it's had, like, 1,237 holds on it since I attempted to check it out at the library during winter break. A few days ago, though, I got lucky when I found a copy on the express shelf.

To say this book was good would be a ginormous understatement. In fact, this novel may have given my favorite book a run for its money ( A Million Little Pieces will forever be my favorite despite all the drama ).

Seriously, this is one of those can't-put-down-gotta-keep-reading-because-every-chapter-is-more-intense kind of books. The plot is actually so crazy you might think it's along the lines of unrealistic, but the characters and themes are so relatable. Plus, this book is so well written, you'll want to just keep reading more and more beautiful words. Lastly, the book is composed of short, mini-chapters which keeps me interested ( I always start to skim when chapters become too lengthly ).

If you're looking for an easy read with enough oomph to keep you intrigued, this is the book for you. Your mind will be blown. Gillian Flynn is brilliant.
