Here's What // 03

Wait, it's the middle of July already? Where has the time went? How is it that I've graduated college, traveled to France and Florida, and am now packing up the entire contents of my apartment?

Let's slow things down and take a peek at a couple of things I'm loving this week.

01. One of my favorite meals to make is to bake a chicken breast and toss it into some leafy romaine lettuce. Sometimes I'll even throw in a hard-boiled egg or a tomato if I'm feeling fancy. Because I'll only be living in my current apartment for a matter of days, I'm avoiding buying food items that won't travel well, i.e. salad dressing. Cue this dressing shaker by OXO, the greatest purchase I've ever made for the kitchen. I've been experimenting with a couple different dressings, but this one by Emeril is my favorite -- especially since I have all of the ingredients on hand. Definitely won't be buying dressing for a while.

02. I'm at that point with my hair where I either hate it or love it. Hatred is most accurate as of late. Part of me wants to chop it off, but I know how much I would miss the easiness of throwing it up on the top of my head or braiding it off to the side. However, if I do make the leap, I want to do something similar to this style. ( Maybe even a bit shorter to add some drama. )

03. Through all my job search efforts online, I've been introduced to some pretty awesome design firms I otherwise didn't know existed. One of my favorites is Grain and Mortar, a strategy, branding, and design company located in Omaha, NE. I'm obsessed with their whole esthetic -- from the website, to the bios, to the work they produce. I was especially fond of the identity they created for Maud, an Omaha-based boutique. The hand-drawn type for the logo is goregous!
