I'm mildly obsessed with Ashley Olsen. In fact, I still have a couple of back issues of the magazines she was on the cover for circa 2009. ( I can't get rid of them, I just can't. ) When I saw that she was the cover girl of the December issue of Allure magazine, I knew I had to grab a copy to add to my collection.
I love the Olsen twins for obvious reasons ( Full House, The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley, and Billboard Dad, duh ), but after they grew up and their cheesy roles became, well, cheesy, it was hard to love them for their subpar acting skills.
So what does any American socialite do after their acting career tanks? Fashion. They do fashion.
This route works better for some. For instance, Ashley totally hit the ground running. I pretty much wanted to be her and I still do. She's sort of nailed the classic, effortless, elegance of modern fashion. I can't quite say the same thing about MK's style...
( Apparently the whole "twinning" thing doesn't work for fashion sense. )
These two childhood-actors-turned-fashion-moguls have remained pretty low key in the years since they've launched two major lines, The Row and Elizabeth and James. So to see them on the cover of a beauty magazine is pretty amazeballs. Now I just have to hope I can find an issue with Ashley's face on the cover instead of MK's...sorry, girl!
And in case you want more Olsen Twin madness ( which I doubt you do ):
I mean how is it possible to look chic, effortless, and cool, AND make it look like you didn't even try.
