Love for GapFit

Last week's post about my gym essentials had me taking a quick inventory of the workout wear I have in my closet currently. I've accumulated a decent collection over the years, but was shocked to realize that I still ( regularly ) wear some of the same workout clothes I've been wearing since high school.

I'm all about the classics when it comes to fashion, but at what point is classic just straight up gross?

This inspired me to start slowly adding some new pieces to my workout wear rotation. But athletic gear is pretty darn expensive. And I'm just not one to justify spending lots of money on something that I plan to sweat in – heavily – over and over and over again.

I started looking online for some athletic additions, only to have my stomach turn at some of the price tags. Of course I'd love to sport some Lululemon, Athleta, or Nike gear, but I'm just not in the position to fork out that much money for one article. Even their sale selection is pricy.

Finally I found solace at the Gap. ( Weird. )

But seriously, I snagged a pair of really nice running tights ( on clearance ), one of my favorite tanks ( 20% off ), and two long-sleeved tops ( one stretchy cotton, 20% off; one dry-fit, also on clearance ).

Every GapFit item I own is beyond comfortable, functional, and stylish. Plus, it's affordable. I got all of the mentioned above for under $100 – or about the same price as one pair of Lululemon leggings.

So kudos to you, GapFit. If you ever need someone to write reviews, test products, or just lounge with over coffee – I'm all ears.
