Sweater Weather

I've never watched The Voice. Sure, I've watched a few clips here or there, but I was never invested in the show. For whatever reason–probably because Gwen and Pharrell, duh–I decided I would at least DVR the series and save it for a rainy day.

Well, that rainy day happened last night. I watched the first and second episodes of the blind auditions–and boom–I'm hooked. Not only was I totally blown away by the talent and the back-and-forth banter from the judges, but I was totally emotionally invested in these peoples' lives and their dreams.

Witnessing people in the midst of a potentially life-changing moment is truly amazing. One of my favorite performances was Taylor Phelan's rendition of Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood. I didn't know I could love that song more than I already did, but Taylor nailed it. I'm stoked to see what he and Pharrell can do together.
