Blue October // Growing up in a state with exactly zero professional sports teams, I’m totally embracing how awesome it is to have three pretty kick ass teams in one city. The Royals are definitely having a moment, and I’m anxiously awaiting the next few games to see if that moment can carry them to the World Series. Either way, it’s been fun to be a part of this team’s success and this city’s support. #BeRoyalKC
DSM Marathon Relay // This weekend I’ll be headed to DSM to run the IMT Marathon Relay. As excited as I am for the festivities, I’ve got to be honest…I’m least looking forward to the actual race. Not because it won’t be exciting, but because I haven’t really trained. The last time I ran – like really ran – was before Labor Day. Days got shorter, mornings got darker and colder…not like that’s a valid excuse, but I’m very particular about when, where, and how I run. Regardless, I’m looking forward to some much needed BFF/sister time.
Florida // I impulsively scheduled a long-weekend trip to Florida for the end of the month because why not? Life is short, fall is upon us, and I miss two of my besties. Make that four: Mom, Dad, and two four-legged ladies. Besides being stoked for some sunshine and saltwater, I can’t wait to see my family’s new home for the first time, and explore a new city.
